Progressive return to work

Are you recovering after illness, but not ready to work full hours yet? Then under certain conditions, you can return to work progressively. This means working part-time with approval from your health insurance fund.

  • What is progressive return?

    – You temporarily work fewer hours than stated in your contract.
    – You receive partial salary and a supplementary benefit from your health insurance fund.
    – You gradually build up your capacity to work.

  • How do you start?
    1. Request approval from the advising doctor of your health insurance fund.
    2. Discuss possible planning with your supervisor and HR.
    3. You may only start after written approval from the fund.
  • How is the schedule arranged?
    1. HR and your supervisor create an adjusted schedule.
    2. Your planning shows which days or hours you do not work.
    3. You may only work during the approved hours. No overtime!
  • What about your pay?

    – You receive salary from Group-f for the hours worked.
    – The health fund pays a supplement for the hours not worked.
    – The amount depends on your salary and approved work volume.

  • Want to work full time again?

    – Request approval again from your health fund.
    – HR updates the planning after receiving permission.

Note

Progressive return is only allowed as long as you’re officially declared unfit for work.
If you exceed limits without permission, you lose your benefit.
