Absence coach

Sometimes it’s hard to return to work. Not because you don’t want to, but because the threshold feels too high – physically, mentally, or due to your home situation. In such cases, our absence coach can help.

  • What is an absence coach?

An absence coach is a trusted HR person who guides you personally in cases of:

    – long-term illness or repeated short absences,
    – a difficult return to work,
    – questions about your workload or work ability,
    – finding custom solutions.

  • What does the coach do exactly?

    – Listens to your story, without judgment.
    – Provides clarity on possibilities and procedures.
    – Coordinates with the occupational doctor and your supervisor (if needed).
    – Proposes realistic steps toward returning to work.
    – Supports reintegration, job adaptation or workload adjustments.

  • How does the contact work?

    – The conversation is confidential.
    – You decide if you want a meeting.
    – Contact can be by phone, at the office or at a neutral location.

  • When can you contact the coach?

    – If you doubt your work capacity.
    – After a tough period (burn-out, surgery, family problems).
    – If you feel fear or uncertainty about returning to work.
    – If you feel you need help to start again.
