Return to work after occupational health check (PC121)
Do you work in the cleaning sector (PC121)? Then after an absence of more than four weeks, you must go for a mandatory check-up with the occupational physician from Securex before returning to work.
Why is this check mandatory?
– To verify if you are fit again to safely and properly perform your duties.
– The occupational doctor checks your medical condition and discusses any limitations.
– The doctor’s decision determines whether and how you can resume work.
How does the return to work proceed?
- HR schedules an appointment with the Securex occupational doctor.
- You receive the invitation from HR or directly from Securex (location, date, time).
- You arrive on time with your ID card.
- After the examination, you receive a fitness certificate:
– Fit: you may return to work.
– Temporarily unfit: your recovery is not yet sufficient.
– Fit with conditions: you may return with adjustments.
What happens after the examination?
– HR and your supervisor receive the doctor’s advice.
– If limitations apply, adjustments are considered (e.g., lighter duties, adapted hours).
– In some cases, a reintegration trajectory follows (see chapter 5).
Important
You may not start working without prior medical examination.
Do you start anyway without a certificate? Then you are uninsured, and your work is unlawful.
